I have Tiny N18 Laptop, when you power it on the fans Rolls for about 5 sec. and stop. It does not boot and no other LED is found on. Please Can any one out there Help with a clue on this problem.
This happened to me about two months ago with my laptop. I would turn it on, the fans would kick on and then kick off.... and nothing happens. The "on" light is on, but the screen does nothing.
I took the computer in and the mother board was fried. At this point there is nothing you can do to get it back on. You can take it in to Best Buy and talk to the Geek Squad. They'll take all your documents off your hard drive (unfortunatly they can't save programs) and put it on a disk for you for about a hundred bucks - if it's worth it to you.
Mother boards can fry due to over-heating and power surges. My laptop was barely two years old and was connected to a surge protector, but somehow, it was still fried.
Hopefully, that's not the case with yours, but that's what happened to mine. Exact situation.
It all worked out for the best in the end, cause I saved up some cash and bought the new iMac that came out - and I love it.
