Hey,
A parcel was sent from California, USA to me in the United Kingdom 5 days ago. It says now that my item left the United States however after 4 days it hasn't updated. For all I know it could still be flying after 96 hours. Here are some more details and exactly what it says:

Acceptance, June 29, 2009, 5:08 pm, SHERMAN OAKS, CA 91403

There is nothing to update. It is likely getting ready to enter Customs and/or clear Customs.
USPS Priority Mail International doesn't always receive scans at every single stop. There should be a scan event when it clears Customs and is released for delivery.
At that time, the online info will update.
You can also try checking the label number at usps.com as well as the websites for Royal Mail and Parcel Force.
In this sort of case, the USPS is the last to know.
