How do I recalibrate my Dell XPS battery?
I've had my Dell XPS M140 laptop for about 3 years now and my I just bought a new battery for it because my last one was just about dead. I bought my new one and it worked fine for a few weeks but now it only charges to about 50%, it's as if the laptop thinks the battery has a full charge but it doesn't.
I was told recalibrating my battery should fix it but I don't know how. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
'Recalibrate'? I don't understand how you would do that to a battery, I'm guessing the model you got is wrong, or maybe the old one died because the charger, which is the same reason the new one isn't working.
