How to boot a CD at startup on a server?
I am suppose to download an ISO file (a bootable image file) from the internet, burn it into a CD and boot it at startup.
However, when I tried to boot the CD in my server, it doesn't boot at all.
Where does the problem lies?
My machine is an IBM XSERIES_346 Intel(R) Xeon(TM), using Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition (32-bit).
I tried two ways:
First, I tried burning into the first CD with just the ISO file. That doesn't work.
So I tried burning into another CD. This time, it contains the extracted files from the ISO file instead.
How to resolve this? Thanks.
You have to burn the CD especially as an ISO. If you are using Nero - find "burn image to disc" otherwise follow the steps here:
