How to switch a WD Internal SATA Hard Drive from Master to Slave?
I have been searching online for about an hour and every site says to switch a little switch on the HD, but there is no switch.
Here's the model:
WD10EACS-32ZJ80
It's the 1 TB HD
All SATA drives are masters. There is only one drive per cable; there for it is the master. There may be multiple SATA connectors on your motherboard labeled 0,1,2,3, etc but that usually has no bearing on single drive configurations. If you are having trouble booting from the drive you may need to check your BIOS/CMOS configuration for a “boot device order” or “boot device priority” or something similar.
