HDD not appearing in bios after RAID config?
my computer has 3 hard drives, two 500gb Western digitals and an old samsung drive salvaged from an old pc (150gb) all was working fine until i recently decided to use RAID 0 on my too 500gb hdds after this my bios boot screen with mobo logo on and otpions to go into bios & change boot order only appears briefly and i can only get into the bios if i act quick and i cant change the boot order (temporary boot order) at all. when i go in to change the permanent boot order in the bios my 150gb HDD no longer appears and i only get my RAID hdd and my dvd drive which has been renamed with raid infront of it's name HEEEELP!!! ... thanks 
Maybe because you activated raid, and also the dvd and 150Gb hdd are connected to the same controller, you need to also assign some raid-disk to the 150Gb drive (this is just a guess). That the dvd has raid in front may also be because of this, if it still works it should be ok i guess.
You might try to use the 150Gb hdd and/or dvd-drive on a different controller like an add-on controller-card. Or assign a raid-disk to it, but be sure to backup your data first. There should be some kind of raid-setup (similar to the bios-setup) for the raid-controller. Maybe the 150 Gb hdd shows up there. See what you can do with it. to get into the raid-setup u may also have to press some special key or key-combination during boot. (also a guess from my earlier experience with raid, don't use it now)
Sometimes motherboards have 2 controllers, if so place the dvd and the 150Gb hdd on the other controller. Take a good look at the manual of the motherboard as wel, it may also say something about the raid function (if it's on the motherboard) so read the raid-section wel.
It maybe logical things go faster, the raid array is twice as fast as a single 500Gb hdd.
Maybe in the bios setup take a good look at the setings for the sata-controller(s) Can the settings for each hdd be adjusted seperately of has the sata-controller 1 global setting like raid/ahci/ide-emulation ?
