My laptop doesn't have a dvd or cd slot, what is that thing called?
I'd really like to buy a connector thing to my laptop so i can play dvd or cds or install things off of cds so i can use my printer.
I don't know what to call it, let along what the average cost for one is.

It's an external CD/DVD drive, also called an external Optical Drive.
