i have a server and would like to host a website?
I have a supermicro server with windows web server 2008 and would like to know what else i need to create and host a website a good url that could direct me to what i need would be good and what program i could use to design it preferably Microsoft because i have a student access to most of their programs from being a programming student. i don't know html i'm currently learning java so that is why i need the program.
the java thing wasn't my idea it was the program at school and i really am leading towards software design but i bought the server so i could have like an online portfolio and am paranoid of the online portfolio website because the instructor told us if you use someone else's server they own that intellectual property.

i would recommend over 20 years of open source Apache though. here:
