When I put my new Linksys network adapter on supplied USB extension cord , windows doesn't recognize device
When I put my new Linksys network adapter (WUSB54GC) on supplied USB extension cord , Vista doesn't recognize device. But if put directly on USB , it works fine.
I thought there must be something wrong with the extension wire. So got the product replaced from Best Buy. Still the same behavior.The USB extension cord can't be bad in both brand new packages. Am I doing something wrong?
I had a cable like that. Worked with some devices but not others. Just a cheap cable. Replace it with a better quality one.
Alternatively, try plugging it into a different USB port.
